Scout Hall presents Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch at its next “Broadway Blues” event.
Born in 1997 in St. Louis Missouri, Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch started playing guitar at the age of 11. By the age of 12, he took a serious interest in blues and started studying the masters such as Albert King, B.B. King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.

Elvis Presley performed at the A. C. Brase Arena Building in Cape Girardeau on July 20, 1955 and Elvis impersonator Finley Watkins is bringing the full live band show to Cape Girardeau in celebration of Elvis' original visit 71 years to the day.
There will be food available beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the show kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and the event is free and all are welcome.

The City of Perryville will host its annual Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show on July 2.
The parade will begin at 6 PM at the KC Hall, make its way to the town square, and end at Perryville City Park. Perryville Parks & Recreation will host activities at City Park from 7 PM until the fireworks begin at dusk. The community is invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs for this free, family-friendly celebration.
The Perryville Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show will take place in downtown Perryville on Thursday, July 2, beginning at 6 PM.
The Jackson Municipal Band’s next concert will be July 2 with special guest Brandon Bates.
The free concert will take place Thursday, July 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Nick Leist Memorial Band Shell in Jackson city park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.
Directions: Entrance to the band shell parking lot is off of Route D across from McCombs Funeral Home.

Riverside Regional Library will host "Then & Now: 250 Years Trivia" on Friday, July 3. Join us for a fun trivia time for all ages at the Main Branch, Jackson.
Jackson will host multiple events throughout the Fourth of July weekend in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The celebration will begin Friday, July 3, with the “Decades of America: 1776–2026” parade stepping off at 5 p.m. in uptown Jackson. At 7 p.m. Friday, there will be a showing of “Cars” (2006) at the bandshell in Jackson City Park.
The festivities continue Saturday, July 4, with "Party in the Park," featuring a car show, live music, vendors, bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, and a giant community coloring poster.
The weekend’s events wrap up with an ice cream social and community worship service starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at the bandshell.
