The Cape Girardeau County Historical Society will host its 3rd Annual Arts, Crafts, & Music Festival on August 22.
This year’s event will celebrate the Historical Society’s 100th Anniversary and will feature over 50 local vendors, crafters, and artisans, tunes from regional musicians, and food trucks.
The Arts, Crafts, & Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jackson Civic Center. The event is open to the public with free admission.

The 2nd Annual "Fly with the Hive" Festival will take place on Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in historic downtown Ste. Genevieve.
It will have a bee theme in addition to our regular festival theme. We will have beekeepers doing demos and answering questions in addition to selling their honey and honey related items. There will be crafters of all kinds as well as food markets, live music, kids' games with puttputt golf and pony rides. There will be a forger demonstrating his craft. The Ste. Genevieve Museum Learning Center will have a kids' corner set up. Restaurants will have their great cuisine ready for you.

Join us for a day of fun to celebrate the Fall season! Admission is FREE and open to the public.
Activities:
10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – free self-guided tours of the entire mill. Self-guided tours of the first floor go till 4 p.m. Mill scavenger hunt and bingo with prizes awarded for completion.
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – antique tractors and engines on display in the day use area. Antique tractor parade through covered bridge at 11 a.m.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Craft vendors selling crafts in the day use area.
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – BBQ 2 The Rescue will be onsite selling delicious, award-winning BBQ (pulled pork, brisket, etc.) SEMO Snocones and Ice Cream will be onsite selling several delicious items (ice cream, snocones, hot dogs, nachos, caramel apple cups and hot cocoa).
2-4 p.m. – Free music from The Whitewater Bluegrass Band in the day-use area. This local band plays traditional bluegrass music with a little humor included. Please bring a lawn chair for seating.

The Little Grassy Get Down isn't just a music festival — it's the fall getaway you didn't know you needed. Set on Little Grassy Lake at SIU's Touch of Nature, this three-day celebration features Americana and bluegrass music plus guided bike rides, adventure activities, kids yoga, and more, included in your pass. New this year: Weekend Pass holders can arrive Thursday night and kick things off at a pre-festival party at Hangar 9. Families, music lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts all find their people here.
