The Crisp Museum will present Shutter and Sound: The Jazz Photography of Bob Willoughby from September 2 through October 19.
Willoughby photographed jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, and Louis Armstrong, among others. The exhibit features 50 images reflecting the dynamic jazz scene of the 1950s.
Shutter and Sound will be on display September 2 through October 19 at the Crisp Museum at SEMO’s River Campus.
**Opening Reception will take place on Friday, September 5, from 4-8 p.m.

The Crisp Museum hosts Art for Adults each Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
Beginners learn to mix colors, arrange a palette, use and clean brushes correctly in a small group setting. Attendees may use the museum’s supplies or bring their own acrylics, oils, soft pastels, or watercolors. Mini lessons are taught by Ellen Flentge.
Art for Adults takes place Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Crisp Museum on Southeast’s River Campus. There is a small fee to attend.

Join us for a day packed with fall fun, silly scares, and memory-making magic for the whole family. From the not-so-scary haunted cabin to fall crafts, creepy crawlies, carnival-style games, and thrilling attractions like the rock wall and giant swing—there’s something for every age (and bravery level!).
Costumes are encouraged, and the event runs rain or shine. So, bundle up, dress up, and get ready to play!
Admission is free, and just like a carnival, tickets for certain attractions are $1 each.
