Embark on a journey through time, celebrating a 100-year legacy of history, resilience and discovery. Sam A. Baker State Park will celebrate it's anniversary on June 13, 2026. There will be van tours to the Mudlick Mountain Fire Tower, self guided tours of the CCC Lodge, exhibits, demonstrations, old-time games and live music. Admission to the event is free.

Celebration 250 - MO! welcomes everyone to this community event, rain or shine. Along with these great performances, we will provide tents, seating & options for food/drink for purchase. There will also be information on various local groups that serve our community, as well as merchandise for purchase. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair, cooler, or anything else that may help you enjoy this free outdoor event.

Since 2005, Mark has closely observed and documented the lives of Great Horned Owls in St. Louis’s Forest Park. The Riverside Regional Library will host “Forensic Anthropology in Our Community” on June 24.
The event, featuring Dr. Jennifer Bengtson, Professor of Anthropology at SEMO, will provide a thought-provoking program on how forensic anthropology is used to bring answers to families, support law enforcement, and help resolve long-standing mysteries in our region.
“Forensic Anthropology in Our Community” will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 4:30-5:30 PM, at the Riverside Main Branch in Jackson.
Program is designed for adults (ages 18+); interested teenagers are encouraged to attend.
