The Riverside Regional Library will host “Forensic Anthropology in Our Community” on June 24.
The event, featuring Dr. Jennifer Bengtson, Professor of Anthropology at SEMO, will provide a thought-provoking program on how forensic anthropology is used to bring answers to families, support law enforcement, and help resolve long-standing mysteries in our region.
“Forensic Anthropology in Our Community” will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 4:30-5:30 PM, at the Riverside Main Branch in Jackson.
Program is designed for adults (ages 18+); interested teenagers are encouraged to attend.

The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band performs each Wednesday evening in June and July. Guest artists perform at 7 PM. The Muny Band performs at 7:30 PM.
The free concerts take place each Wednesday evening at the Dan Cotner Amphitheater in Capaha Park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.

Join fellow American Mahjong enthusiasts for a fun and friendly game session! This event is for players who already know the rules and want to enjoy some lively rounds together. If you have your own mahjong set, please bring it along—our library has only two sets available. Feel free to bring your favorite snack or drink to enjoy while you play. The Jackson Municipal Band’s next concert will be June 25 with special guest Weary Ramblers.
The free concert will take place Thursday, June 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Nick Leist Memorial Band Shell in Jackson city park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.
Directions: Entrance to the band shell parking lot is off of Route D across from McCombs Funeral Home.

On the 4th Friday of every month from April through October, the art galleries and artists' studios in downtown Ste Genevieve open their doors to the public from 6 to 9 pm.
Come stroll from gallery to studio through quaint historic downtown Ste Gen. You will also find food, shopping and live music.
This is a family friendly and free event.
