Welcome fall with story time at Ozark Regional Library! From October 20 to November 21, we’ll sing songs, read stories, do arts and crafts, and learn fun rhymes at the library.

The Crisp Museum hosts Art for Adults each Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
Beginners learn to mix colors, arrange a palette, use and clean brushes correctly in a small group setting. Attendees may use the museum’s supplies or bring their own acrylics, oils, soft pastels, or watercolors. Mini lessons are taught by Ellen Flentge.
Art for Adults takes place Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Crisp Museum on Southeast’s River Campus. There is a small fee to attend.

The annual Ulysses S. Grant Symposium will be held on November 7 at Kellerman-Lorimer Hall in Cape Girardeau, MO. Guest speakers include Curt Fields, Lyle Randolph, and Louis L. Picone. Speaker bios can be found here.

Established in 2014, the U.S. Grant Symposium is an annual event which brings together scholars, historians, authors, and Civil War enthusiasts to explore and discuss the life, career, and legacy of Ulysses S. Grant – with a particular interest in his relationship with Missouri and the greater Midwest.
