Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau and SEMO-NASV will present "What Were You Wearing?" - an exhibit displaying the clothing of sexual assault survivors to challenge the myth that clothing is to blame for assault - from September 4-25 at Catapult Creative House.

An opening reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. on September 4. Light refreshments will be served.

There is no cost to view the exhibition. Catapult Creative House is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Crisp Museum will host “Then & Now: Works by SEMO Alumni & Faculty” from September 4 through October 17.

This exhibition is a celebration of learning, collaboration, and the evolving relationship between teacher and artist. Professors engage with viewers and students alike, discussing techniques and inspiration, while students gain confidence seeing their creations displayed alongside those who have guided them.

This month we’ll discuss “How to Read a Book” by Monica Wood. The group meets at the Main Branch in Jackson. For ages 18+.

Three Rivers Patrons of the Arts will present “John Denver: A Musical Tribute by Ted Vigil” on September 21.

The performance will feature the music of John Denver by acclaimed tribute artist Ted Vigil, whose uncanny look and sound bring the singer’s timeless songs to life.

The John Denver Musical Tribute Concert will take place Monday, September 21, at 7 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff. Tickets are available at the Three Rivers Student Accounts Office, the Tinnin Center Art Gallery, and online.

Build reading readiness and kindergarten readiness skills with our Preschool Storytime program! This fun and educational program features longer books that are accompanied by a variety of activities, including flannel boards, dramatics, and songs.

(Ages 3-5)

This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop-offs will not be permitted.

Join our guest instructor Abby Cheney for an 8-week introduction to American Sign Language (ASL)! By registering for this program, you are committing to eight programs that will meet every Tuesday from 4 pm - 5 pm. (ages 9-11)
