The Southeast Jazz Bands will present their fall concert on October 21.
The evening will transport the audience to the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City through the music of Leonard Bertstein’s West Side Story. The concert will feature instructor of jazz, commercial, and marching percussion Louie Pereira.*
The Fall Jazz Concert will take place Tuesday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bedell Performance Hall on Southeast’s River Campus.

Welcome fall with story time at Ozark Regional Library! From October 20 to November 21, we’ll sing songs, read stories, do arts and crafts, and learn fun rhymes at the library.

The Crisp Museum hosts Art for Adults each Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
Beginners learn to mix colors, arrange a palette, use and clean brushes correctly in a small group setting. Attendees may use the museum’s supplies or bring their own acrylics, oils, soft pastels, or watercolors. Mini lessons are taught by Ellen Flentge.
Art for Adults takes place Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Crisp Museum on Southeast’s River Campus. There is a small fee to attend.

Three Rivers Patrons of the Arts will present “The Spirit of Scotland” on October 23.
The performance will feature a celebration of Scotland, including traditional songs, live music, and Highland dancing.
“The Spirit of Scotland” will take place Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff. Tickets are available at the Three Rivers Student Accounts Office, the Tinnin Center Art Gallery, and online.

Bollinger Mill will host a Trick or Treat Night on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Join us for an evening of Halloween fun at the mill!
Activities:
6-7 p.m. – Trick-or-treating inside the mill.
6-7 p.m. - Free self-guided night tours of the entire mill. The mill will be decorated for Halloween and there will be trick or treat stations to get candy on every floor.
6-7:30 p.m. – Free self-guided tours of the first floor of the mill. Staff will be handing out candy on the first floor of the mill.
This family-friendly event is open to all ages. Remember to wear a costume and bring a flashlight!
The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra will present its Opening Night! on October 24.
The concert will kick off the symphony’s 25th season with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, American composer John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine, and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. Marika Bournaki will be the guest pianist.
The performance will take place Friday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bedell Performance Hall on Southeast’s River Campus.

The Cape Girardeau Library will host its Fall Local Author Fair on October 25.
Join us as we get to know local authors and their books and learn about the writing process. This Author Fair will feature local authors, an author panel on the writing process, a panel Q & A session, and a chance for you to purchase their books. These authors write a variety of books for kids, teens, and adults. Everyone is welcome, so gather up your friends, family, and neighbors for this special event!
Refreshments will be available and door prizes will be awarded. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
