Old Town Cape will host its Downtown Sculpture Exhibition Kickoff on June 27.
Selected sculptures for the 2026 Downtown Sculpture Exhibition will be announced at the kickoff, and attendees can meet the artists. The free, family-friendly event will also feature a potter, sidewalk chalk painting, plein air painting, dancers, boat floats in the fountain, button making, live music, and more. Food and craft vendors will be on site, as well.
The Downtown Sculpture Exhibition Kickoff will take place from 5 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Ivers Square in Cape Girardeau.

The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band performs each Wednesday evening in June and July. Guest artists perform at 7 PM. The Muny Band performs at 7:30 PM.
The free concerts take place each Wednesday evening at the Dan Cotner Amphitheater in Capaha Park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.

Parents and caregivers will also discover creative ways to support their child’s learning journey at home. Perfect for ages 1–3. Come share the fun and watch your little one’s imagination grow! The City of Perryville will host its annual Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show on July 2.
The parade will begin at 6 PM at the KC Hall, make its way to the town square, and end at Perryville City Park. Perryville Parks & Recreation will host activities at City Park from 7 PM until the fireworks begin at dusk. The community is invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs for this free, family-friendly celebration.
The Perryville Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show will take place in downtown Perryville on Thursday, July 2, beginning at 6 PM.
The Jackson Municipal Band’s next concert will be July 2 with special guest Brandon Bates.
The free concert will take place Thursday, July 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Nick Leist Memorial Band Shell in Jackson city park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.
Directions: Entrance to the band shell parking lot is off of Route D across from McCombs Funeral Home.
