Scout Hall presents Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch at its next “Broadway Blues” event.
Born in 1997 in St. Louis Missouri, Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch started playing guitar at the age of 11. By the age of 12, he took a serious interest in blues and started studying the masters such as Albert King, B.B. King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.

Elvis Presley performed at the A. C. Brase Arena Building in Cape Girardeau on July 20, 1955 and Elvis impersonator Finley Watkins is bringing the full live band show to Cape Girardeau in celebration of Elvis' original visit 71 years to the day.
There will be food available beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the show kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and the event is free and all are welcome.

Build reading readiness and kindergarten readiness skills with our Preschool Storytime program! This fun and educational program features longer books that are accompanied by a variety of activities, including flannel boards, dramatics, and songs.

Embark on a thrilling role-playing adventure with Tuesday Night Game’s Mothership: Dinoplex Cataclysm! This summer, join fellow spacers and workers for a much-needed vacation at Dinoplex—a space station resort orbiting a planet teeming with real, resurrected dinosaurs. Enjoy attractions like the Tricera Rodeo and the Extinction Extravaganza, but beware: in true Mothership fashion, danger lurks beneath the surface of this aging, questionably managed park.
No experience is needed—pre-made characters are available, or bring your own! Dice, notebooks, and pencils are recommended but not required. Snacks are welcome. Each short campaign tells a complete story arc, with new sessions starting every four weeks. Registration is required and covers all sessions in the arc. Will you survive the Cataclysm? The Missouri Department of Conservation will host Birding by Season: Summer on July 1.
Birding is a fantastic way to get into nature during summer. Attendees will do some birding and learn about our summer resident birds and common birding apps. The class is for beginners who haven’t committed to buying binoculars or find it difficult to identify birds. Binoculars will be available to borrow during the class. For ages 13+.
Birding by Season: Summer will take place on Wednesday, July 1, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.
