Tickets are $50 and include buffet dinner, drinks, and entertainment.

Mercy Hospital Southeast will present “Building Better Bones” at its next Healthy Cooking Class on May 19.
Incorporating foods with calcium is key at every stage of life. Nutritional Services Coordinator Laura Vollink will share about calcium and Vitamin D recommendations and make some tasty recipes that support bone health.
“Building Better Bones” will be held Monday, May 19, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. in the demonstration kitchen at Mercy Healthpoint Fitness in Cape Girardeau. There is a small fee and registration is required.

The Crisp Museum is hosting an open call for quilts and stitchery items for its upcoming summer exhibit: Quilts and Stitchery: Warmth, Art, Design.
Interested artisans can submit two items. Accepted items include but are not limited to quilting, cross-stitch, embroidery, felting, crochet, thread painting, fabric collage, Coptic stitched books, and more. Submissions will be accepted now through May 15 at 5 p.m.

The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library to Host Thrilling Murder Mystery Dinner: "Murder by the Book."
Get ready for an evening of intrigue, suspense, and delicious food! The Stars and Stripes Museum is thrilled to announce its upcoming murder mystery dinner theatre, "Murder by the Book," taking place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
Guests are invited to step into a world of literary secrets and deadly rivalries as they watch some of the world’s most famous authors solve a mystery. "Murder by the Book," by Craig Sodaro and the Pioneer Drama Service will take place inside The Stars and Stripes Museum, adding an extra layer to this engaging and interactive event.

The Holland College of Arts and Media will present “Celebrate the Arts” on May 2.
This annual musical revue performed by Southeast students will feature works from Broadway musicals, jazz and classical music, and original dance pieces. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit international and national performance tours for Southeast students.
“Celebrate the Arts” will take place on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bedell Performance Hall at Southeast’s River Campus.

We believe play is essential for personal growth, community building, and the development of innovative ideas, and we aim to highlight its vital role in nurturing curiosity, well-being, and understanding.
We are blessed to see the event grow each year. Last year, we were able to partner with an astonishing number of service organizations, offering even more free play opportunities for our families.
At PLAyfest, we have play opportunities for all ages! PLAYfest features local food vendors, musicians, artisans, and shops! We will also fill the park with interactive activities for you and your family to engage in.
