Each month, join a party of adventurers and work together to complete your mission. No experience is required and pre-made characters will be provided.

If stitching and reading are what you like to do in your spare time, why not stitch with some friends? Join us for our new Stitch & Listen group, where each person will work on a fiber arts craft while listening to their own audiobook. You can chat with other fiber artists about your craft or learn more about a stitch craft you are interested in learning.

Each participant will need to bring their own craft project, supplies, device for listening to an audiobook and headphones. Some basic supplies like scissors and extra hooks/needles, yarn/thread will be available to borrow during the event, if needed. The library will also have a kettle for hot drinks as well as teas, cocoa, sugar, etc.

Registration is appreciated, but not required. Ages 18+

Are you looking for a gentle yoga class or interested in some mid-week destressing? Join us for an hour of gentle yoga, held every Wednesday. Please bring your own yoga mat or bath towel, as well as a yoga block for your practice. Space is limited and registration is required. (ages 18+)

Fuel your next masterpiece with a sweet treat! Join us for our next Cultured Donuts class, an hour-long window of unbridled creativity. Free donuts and inspiration provided!

Teens Only

Missouri's Official Folk Dance is making a comeback at the Osage Center. Square Dancing has arrived at Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation. Enjoy a foot stomping good time learning this skill in an 8-week class designed for those with no previous dancing experience. Classes begin January 14. Registration is required.

Looking to compete against other chess players? Join our Chess Club, a great way to learn strategy, connect with others, and enjoy chess! This club is designed for adults who are interested in or have experience playing chess. Chess Club is held in the Genealogy Room in Adult Services. (Ages 18+)

...then our Tech Tutoring program is perfect for you! Schedule a 30-minute appointment with one of our tech tutors for one-on-one assistance with technology questions and problem-solving common issues.

Start the Valentine celebration early with a fun evening at Cape Ballroom on Friday, February 13! Dancing is a great way to celebrate with your special someone. No sweetheart? Attend with friends, bring family, or go solo.

No experience required. The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with a 30-minute dance lesson, followed by dancing to a variety of music. Line dances included.

Admission: $5 per person at the door, cash only. No bills larger than $20, please. Doors open at 6:45pm.

No smoking. No alcohol. You may bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Cape Ballroom Friday Night Dances are held 7-9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2731 Thomas Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
