In honor of the late Marion "Jack" Rickard Jr. — known simply as "Jack" founder of EVtv MotorVerks in Cape Girardeau, a mural was conceived by one of his daughters, Jacquelyn Rickard, for local commissioned artist Malcolm McCrae. The ‘Neighborhood Solar Project’ objective is to collaborate with community organizations like the University to host solar generation. The project began by constructing solar canopies in the Show Me Center Parking lot, designed to produce solar energy for homes in the area. It is the largest such program in the state.
