Exposition: Performers Speak About River Campus Production of 'Carmen'
On this episode of 'Exposition', Caffe Concerto host, Mary Mims speaks with student performers in the role of 'Carmen'— Elizabeth Brennecke and Morgan Goad. She also talks with the director, Dr. Chris Goeke, Professor of Voice and Director of Opera, about the upcoming Southeast Opera Theatre and Southeast Department of Music production of Carmen, and the process of adapting this major work to a smaller-scale performance.

This week's guest on 'SEMO Spotlight' is Tyler Lofton. He graduated in December 2023 with Southeast Missouri State's inaugural class in the Professional Pilot Program. He earned his commercial multi-engine license after completing coursework at the university and fieldwork at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.

Pianist Brian Woods is a celebrated musician touring the globe and serving as Music Director for Classical Programming at the World Chess Hall of Fame in Missouri. He will be performing his piano recital at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus on Sunday, January 28, 2023.

Brigit Ciskowski is a 2016 Southeast Missouri State University alumna, holding a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in sculpture. She is now in graduate school at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Scott Bellovich and James Rice are sophomores at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in Television and Film. They earned the Redhawk Award for their film "Dear Bridge" at the Fault Line Film Festival 2024.

MO Justice Reform Bill HB1545 Aims to Revise Prison Terms For Older Incarcerated People
HB 1545 was introduced by Rep. Bill Allen (R-Dist. 17), and would allow more incarcerated people who are considered "geriatric" by correctional standards to become eligible for parole consideration, and was crafted with advice by Maria Goellner of FAMM.

Exposition: Student Actors Preview the River Campus Production of 'The Wizard of Oz'
Nathan Anderson is pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a double minor in Music and Dance. Garrett Langley is pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in Interior Design. Nathan and Garrett are performing in SEMO's River Campus production of The Wizard of Oz.
