The Crisp Museum will present Quilts & Stitchery: Warmth, Art, Design through June 23.
The exhibit features quilts, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, and more by local creators. Over 150 fabric and fiber creations showcase line, shape, value, and texture.
Quilts & Stitchery is on display now through June 23 at the Crisp Museum on SEMO’s River Campus. A closing reception will take place from 2-4 p.m. on June 23 with a Quilt Turning at 3 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band performs each Wednesday night at Capaha Park during June and July.
Each week features a special guest artist at 7 p.m., with the Muny Band beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The free concert will take place Wednesday, June 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the Dan Cotner Amphitheater in Capaha Park. Be sure to bring your blankets or lawn chairs.

The Southeast Missouri Modelers Association (SEMMA) invites the public to fly radio-controlled model aircraft on June 12 (or just watch).

Each Thursday evening during the summer, the Jackson Municipal Band provides a free concert for community members and visitors.
The concert also features local and regional guest artists each week. Special guest on June 12 will be singer-songwriter Emily Wallace. Based out of south city, St. Louis, Emily performs jazz, funk, soul, and a little bit of everything else.
The Jackson Municipal Band concert will take place on Thursday, June 12, at 7 p.m. at the Nick Leist Memorial Band Shell in Jackson City Park.

The Missouri Department of Conservation will host Nature Center @ Night: Family Fishing on June 13.
Fishing is a great way for kids and families to have fun outdoors and learn about conservation. Help your young ones pull fish from our kid’s pond and get a chance to reel in some fish from the Cape Girardeau South County Park Pond. Rods and bait will be provided, as well as instructions. No experience, registration, or permit is required. All ages are welcome.
Nature Center @ Night: Family Fishing will take place on Friday, June 13, from 4-7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.
The Friends of Stinson Library in Anna, IL, will host a book sale on June 13-15 during the annual Annabelle Festival.
The Friends Appreciation Sale will take place on Friday, June 13, from 4-6 pm. The Public Sale will take place on Saturday, June 14, from 8 am-2 pm. A Bag Sale will take place from 1-3 pm on Sunday, June 15.
