On this episode of 'Exposition: An Arts + Culture Podcast', we speak with Kasey Lee Rogers, 'Tunes at Twilight's' first musical guest of the Fall 2026 Season. The show is on Fri. Aug. 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Ivers Square Gazebo in Cape Girardeau.
In the interview, Rogers talks about his diverse musical career, which includes his experience as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, playing in various bands, including a rockabilly band, an '80s industrial pop band, and a Black Sabbath-influenced band.
He grew up in a musical family in Carmi, Illinois, and started playing mandolin at a young age. Rogers describes his music as "good-hearted country," influenced by artists like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings.
At the Aug. 7th 'Tunes at Twilight' show in Cape, he'll be accompanied by a pedal steel player and a lead guitarist. His music is available on Spotify, Bandcamp, and YouTube, and his newest album is 'Let It Play'.
