The Crisp Museum will present Quilts & Stitchery: Warmth, Art, Design through June 23.
The exhibit features quilts, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, and more by local creators. Over 150 fabric and fiber creations showcase line, shape, value, and texture.
Quilts & Stitchery is on display now through June 23 at the Crisp Museum on SEMO’s River Campus. A closing reception will take place from 2-4 p.m. on June 23 with a Quilt Turning at 3 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Museum Hours:Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.Saturday-Sunday, 1-4 p.m.First Friday of the Month, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Each Thursday evening during the summer, the Jackson Municipal Band provides a free concert for community members and visitors.
The concert also features local and regional guest artists each week. Special guest on June 19 will be Double Take, twins from the bootheel playing a mix of country, southern rock, and original music.
The Jackson Municipal Band concert will take place on Thursday, June 19, at 7 p.m. at the Nick Leist Memorial Band Shell in Jackson City Park.

Come and celebrate the sunshine, warmth, beauty, and growth that summer brings with a walk on The Labyrinth at Abbey Road on the longest day of the year! Walk the labyrinth, sit and use a finger labyrinth, or just enjoy time with others. This event is free and open to all ages.
The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool on the grounds of Abbey Road Christian Church (DOC), 2411 Abbey Road, Cape Girardeau, MO, and is available at all times to the public 24/7.

The City of Cape Girardeau will host a Juneteenth Celebration on June 21.
First celebrated on June 19, 1865, Juneteenth is the oldest national commemoration of the ending of slavery. This community event will feature artisanal craft vendors, social service organizations, food vendors, door prizes, a kids’ area, and live entertainment.
Cape’s Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ivers Square in Downtown Cape.

Kellerman Concerts will present the Brody Buster Band on June 22 at 2:30 p.m.
Brody Buster, a multi-instrumentalist blues artist and harmonica phenom, was a child prodigy and played with BB King. He's based out of Kansas City.
Minglewood will be selling beer and wine.
