Albums Reviews on KRCU

Feb 26, 2013

As kind of a New Year’s resolution I pledged to attempt to produce a piece on music for the radio every week. These include interviews and album reviews, and we’ve been airing them inside local availabilities within All Things Considered.

As programmer and producer of KRCU’s music program The Elliot Potter Show, I already listen to a lot of music, and am passionate about sharing it with our audience.

2012 was a year of changes, as the station continues to work to provide a quality public radio service to the region.

In May, KRCU made a series of weekend programming changes that allowed the station to bring public radio’s favorite entertainment programs to more listeners.

Membership Week was a great success. KRCU staff and volunteers took to the airwaves October 3-10 and encouraged listeners to renew their memberships to the non-commercial public radio station. There was also a major push for new members during the campaign.

KRCU welcomed Alex Jackson to the station on October 1, 2012 to serve as the station’s chief development officer. Alex was hired after a national search that was conducted over the summer.

Dust off the Britannica, and brush up on those Pop-Up Video reruns. When all else fails, let the tunes clue you in. You’ll need it because Ask Me Another, a rambunctious new show from NPR that challenges contestants with an hour of puzzles, word games and trivia is back. AMA is hosted by comedian Ophira Eisenberg and airs Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. on 90.9 and 88.9 FM.
