Some Missouri lawmakers want to restrict student cellphone use at school, to reduce distractions and cyberbullying. Proposals range from keeping phones out of sight to full bans. Supporters say it would improve students' focus, while critics cite emergency concerns.

Essential workers don't have to quarantine as long as they don't have symptoms. Declaring teachers essential would keep them in classrooms even after having close contact with someone who has COVID-19.
