The governor and his wife were planning to host a fall festival this weekend at the governor’s mansion. It would have been at the tail end of isolation for Governor Mike Parson, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week. But Tuesday, Parson and his wife, Teresa, who also tested positive last week, announced they’re postponing the third annual Parson Family Fall Festival.
According to the governor’s office, Teresa Parson is no longer experiencing symptoms but has decided to remain at the Parson’s home in Bolivar “out of an abundance of caution.”
A tentative date for the festival, to be held at the governor’s mansion in Jefferson City, is October 31.
