The Cape Girardeau City Council has rescheduled their Nov. 5 meeting.
According to an email from the city of Cape Girardeau, city employees and officials will be busy due to Pres. Donald Trump’s arrival for a rally tonight at the Show-Me-Center.
“Many city employees are involved facilitating safety and traffic. Some council members are also involved with the event,” stated the email.
The next council meeting is now slated to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7 with the study session beginning at 5 p.m., and a regular session to follow.
At Wednesday’s meeting, many presentations will be made, including on employee health and dental insurance renewal, the recognition of responders to a recent two-passenger airplane crash at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, a Purple Heart City proclamation, a Military Order of the Purple Heart of Missouri presentation, 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence proclamation, and the Beautiful Business Property of the month.
The consent agenda for the Nov. 7 council meeting includes:
1. Approval of the October 15, 2018, City Council regular session minutes and closed session minutes.
2. BILL NO. 18-147, an Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a Municipal Agreement
with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for bridge work on the Bill Emerson
Memorial Bridge, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Second and Third Readings.
3. BILL No. 18-150, a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Lappe
Cement Finishing, Inc. for the Sidewalk Point Repair 2018 Project, in the City of Cape Girardeau,

4. Bill NO. 18-151, a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a fiduciary agreement on
