CarGO Expanding Across Southeast Missouri, Moving Into Farmington In June

After expanding their services in Cape Girardeau to Poplar Bluff, transportation network company CarGO has announced their future move into Farmington.

With the company averaging about 10,000 rides and food deliveries in Cape Girardeau in a month, the move comes as part of a process by CarGO to spread into other markets.

Shad Burner, director of business development for CarGO, says they looked at the demographics of Farmington, and saw that there was a natural mixed market for the company.

“There’s a concentration of restaurants in one area that drivers can deliver from,” says Burner.  “There’s a college there, which is always good because we get some of our drivers from college, and some of our demand from a college.”

He says they've seen the same qualities in Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau. They estimate around 100 food deliveries in a day for Farmington, and participation from at least 20 area restaurants after launching the market in mid-June.

CarGO just started running Facebook ads for drivers in Farmington, and will start solely with food deliveries for the area.
