Solar Star Party
SEMO’s Department of Chemistry and Physics, in partnership with the Poplar Bluff Public Library, will host a Solar Star Party on March 21.
The event will feature interactive stations of specialized telescopes for solar observation. SEMO astronomers will lead solar science education on: Safe Solar Observing; Solar Eclipse and Coronal Physics; Sunspots, Magnetic Activity and Aurora; and the Sun as a Star.
The Solar Star Party will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff Junior High School. The event is free and open to the public.
