MDC: Aw Nuts!
The Missouri Department of Conservation will host Aw Nuts! on August 25.
Many hardwood trees, including walnut, hickory, and pecan, produce edible nuts for cooking, snacking, and survival situations. This program will cover how to distinguish these nuts for your own foraged snacks or ingredients and will include a short hike around the Nature Center trails to practice identifying the trees.
Aw Nuts! will take place on Tuesday, August 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.
