The final "Sundays at Three" concert is part of May offerings at River Campus
If you’re thinking it’s the end of a season at the River Campus, I would say … not so fast.
The academic year is quickly coming to a close, but there’s still much entertainment to be had this week at the River Campus. This weekend is First Friday with the Arts. That means the River campus Art Gallery is open later and you have the chance to see the graduating seniors BFA exhibition. It’s always so impressive to see what the students have planned and created their last two semesters on campus. Join us for the reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday.
Also this week is the final Sundays at Three concert series of the season. And, have we got a finale in store! This installment is Featuring Southeast and brings together faculty and students in a chamber music lollapalooza! With music from Jonathan Russell to Scott Joplin, we’re bringing together various ensembles featuring clarinets, flutes, strings, piano, and even percussion! If you see one Sundays at Three performance this year, this is the one to attend.
Dance students take their season swan song on May 4 with Moving Perspectives. This performance features original, contemporary dance works choreographed by faculty and students and set to music from Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse, The Georgia Satellites, and even Johanne Brahms. Tickets on sale now.
The Crisp Museum is back next week with a brand new exhibition, Recent Acquisitions will showcase recently donated artworks. Don’t miss your chance for a first look.
I’ll be back next week with previews of the upcoming Summer Series at the River Campus. Until then, for tickets and more information, visit RiverCampus.org and as always, I hope to see you soon at the Box Office!
