A Contemporary feminist exhibit is now on display at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
Crisp Museum director Peter Nguyen said the exhibit includes 2D art and sculptures.
“The overall theme will deal with more of a female perspective on art making,” Nguyen said, “as well as the influences that our artists are dealing with."
There are 14 female artists in the exhibit. Most are from Missouri and some come from as far away as North Carolina.
A few of the artists will be in attendance at the opening reception this Friday, Aug. 2 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Crisp museum. Admission is free.
The artwork will be on display until Sep. 22.
