Candidates For Missouri Governor Arrive In Columbia For Forum

A forum featuring four candidates for Missouri governor arrives in Columbia today.

The candidates are Republican Governor Mike Parson, Democratic State Auditor Nicole Galloway, and two third-party candidates, Libertarian Rik Combs, Libertarian, Green Party’s Jerome Bauer.

The forum is scheduled for today at 2 at the Missouri Theatre in downtown Columbia, and while not open to the public, it will be broadcast live on KOMU.

Anthony Lupo is the Chair of the Boone County Republican Central Committee. He says Republican voters are excited.

“From a personal standpoint, I haven’t seen this kind of enthusiasm on our side since ‘84 or ‘88,” Lupo said.

Boone County Democratic Party Chair Lyra Noce says people want to vote, and they want leadership to be held accountable.
