Rural Broadband Access

Missouri legislators were updated Wednesday on the progress of NTIA’s Broadband Infrastructure Program, which awarded 42.2 million dollars to the Missouri Department of Economic Development in 2022.

Late in December 2022, KRCU Public Radio spoke with BJ Tanksley, the Director of Broadband Development about the nearly $3 million received in federal grants through the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), to enhance the ongoing efforts of the Office of Broadband Development to expand high-speed internet access statewide. Residents are asked to 'map' their broadband access through Jan. 13, 2023.
