Chris Furusa is a SEMO student from Zimbabwe who came to the United States and found a purpose beyond himself. His actions have impacted and uplifted the people of Cape Girardeau through his love for Christ.

The feelings fluttering through new students' minds on their first day at SEMO can ignite excitement and inspiration while also creating intimidating thoughts. International students not only go through that same wave of emotions, but also experience culture shock, homesickness, and an entirely new world all around them.

Black Indigenous Performers of Color (BIPOC) is hosting their first Black History Month program from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Rose Theatre. The program will hold space for Black organizations and students on campus to celebrate their history through performances and presentations.
