KCRW welcomed Cat Power for her first live radio session behind her latest album, Wanderer. "In Your Face" features Power's vocals front and center as she strips things back for a hushed performance.

Denver band Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats played a scorching set of funky soul songs as part of our Apogee Sessions series, including the track, "I'll Be Damned." It's an older song they recorded with producer Richard Swift for the deluxe edition of its latest record Tearing at the Seams. This was only the band's third time playing the song live and it was a hit!

My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James brought a full band to the KCRW studio for the first live radio session behind his new solo album Uniform Distortion. The album's sound is grounded in raw psychedelic rock jams that are more about capturing a vibe than creating perfection. Our favorite is "No Secrets," one of his most personal tracks to date.

The Dirty Projectors, fronted by David Longstreth, has been a hugely influential band since its formation in 2002. The band's distinct sound is beautifully off-kilter and its latest effort, Lamp Lit Prose, is positively bright and bouncy. "I Found It In U" was a highlight of our live set, recorded as the group toured through town last month.

SET LIST:

In celebration of her new album, Tell Me How You Really Feel, Courtney Barnett performed an intimate set for KCRW. "Charity" is an album highlight and will surely be a live staple and crowd favorite in the months to come.
