Nurse Vacancy Continues to Rise in Missouri

  

The Missouri Hospital Association released its annual workforce report this month finding that staff nurses in Missouri had the highest vacancy rate in the 16 years of the survey’s existence. And in Southeast Missouri, registered nurse vacancies have more than doubled in the last year. Jeannie Fadler, vice president of Patient Care Services at Saint Francis Medical Center explains why these numbers are high and how Saint Francis is tackling the issue.
