Old Town Cape: Christmas Tree Lighting
Old Town Cape will kick off the holiday season with its 7th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on November 28.
This family-friendly event will feature live music and caroling, illuminated aerial acrobatic performances, warm beverages and marshmallow roasting, and local food vendors. The evening will conclude with Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the 30-foot Christmas tree.
The annual Tree Lighting will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 28, at Fountain and Broadway Streets in Downtown Cape.
Event Schedule:
5:30 p.m. - Vendors begin serving food; Smores station will begin
6:00 p.m. - Master of Ceremonies, Jim Maurer, will welcome attendees to the event
6:10 p.m. - With Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves' arrival, musicians will lead singing of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"
6:20 p.m. - Master of Ceremonies will lead the countdown to lighting
After the tree is lit, musicians will lead signing of "Deck the Halls" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
