NASA Science Live!: Cosmic Pioneers
Join a live Zoom event and take part in the Dark Energy Explorers project alongside others. No prior experience needed. The project scientist will guide the session as participants explore real astronomy data and ask questions in real time.
Dark Energy Explorers is a NASA-supported citizen science project hosted on Zooniverse that looks deep into space for distant galaxies and black holes. Contributions from this event help scientists build the largest map of the universe yet and better understand dark energy.
What You’ll Do
- Hang out with a NASA scientist
- Click through real images of galaxies and black holes
- Jump into Dark Energy Explorers and start exploring right away
- Work on the project live with others and ask questions as you go
- Help map the universe (no experience needed!)
