The Missouri Department of Conservation will host Learn to Fish: Fly Fishing 101 on May 23 and 24.

Fly fishing enthusiast Michael Fiehler will lead this beginner’s hands-on program featuring basic casting techniques. No experience is required, and all equipment will be provided. The program will be held largely outdoors, so dress for the weather. The event is free and open to the public, age 12 and up. Registration is required.

Fly Fishing 101 will take place on Friday, May 23, from  6 - 8 p.m. OR Saturday, May 24, from 9 - 11:30 a.m. at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.
