Celebrate Global Running Day with the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Rec Foundation on June 7.

Runners can participate in this global event with a 1-mile or 5K run on the Cape LaCroix Trail or a themed scavenger hunt for kids. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, and participants can finish in the lazy river with free river walking at Cape Splash.

To register, runners should meet at the LaCroix Trailhead behind the Osage Centre at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7. The run/walk starts at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and all skill levels are welcome.
