Compton & Newberry Concert

The Cape Girardeau County History Center will welcome Compton & Newberry on August 15.

Renowned and award-winning singer-songwriters, Mike Compton and Joe Newberry are masters of old-time mandolin, banjo and guitar. Their early country music, bluegrass, and blues music was featured on “A Prairie Home Companion,” and on the soundtracks for “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “Cold Mountain.”

The Compton & Newberry concert will take place on Thursday, August 15, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau County History Center at 102 S. High Street in Jackson. A suggested donation of $25 will be accepted at the door.
