The Cape Riverfront Market opening day will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, and will run every Saturday morning between May and October from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cape Riverfront Market occupies the lot at 35 S. Spanish Street in Downtown Cape Girardeau. Patrons of the farmers’ market can expect to find a wide variety of vendors selling hot breakfast and lunch foods, farm-fresh produce, meats and cheeses, baked goods, jams, honey, flowers and plants, arts and crafts, and natural wellness products, all of which are locally grown, homemade, and handmade.

Returning this year, the Old Town Cape will host monthly themed market days starting on May 4 with a collaboration with the Muddy River Marathon at the Casino Parking lot (777 Main Street). All vendors will attend the first market so this is a great opportunity to see what you can expect all year long! Other event days include: Marketeers Day, OTC Birthday Party, Youth Entrepreneurship Day, Harvest Festival, and Oktoberfest. The Cape Riverfront Market will also continue with our weekly musical guest series kicking off on May 4.

Due to the increased interest in market, vendors we will be closing the section of Spanish Street every Saturday to allow for more vendors at the market. We will have many additional vendors! There will be a portion of the street dedicated to Grass Roots BMW Motorcycles on the end of Spanish St. closest to Merriwether St.
