Big River Chautauqua in Bonne Terre (July 14-16)
The Big River Chautauqua is back for 2022 in Bonne Terre with the theme “The Times They Are A-Changin’”.
This year will feature Robert F. Kennedy, Rosa Parks and Mama Cass Elliott. Thursday evening, a man portraying Robert F Kennedy will do a one-man, monologue starting at 7:30. You will feel that it is Mr. Kennedy there talking to you. It is portrayed in his living years (at the end of the performance he will step out of character and fill us in on other historic info from the era). You will be able to ask questions! It is a wonderful event.
Friday (Mama) Cass Elliot will be on stage and Saturday it will be Rosa Parks. Lots of seating but lawn chairs are welcome. Food Sales begin at 5:30 so come early. Music entertainment each evening starts at 6pm with Darren Thomas and followed by Ron Allen on Thursday, Mindy Reed on Friday and for Saturday evening Dave & Audra Wiant will follow Darren.
The Big River Chautauqua will be held under the big tent behind City Hall in Bonne Terre Thursday, July 14 through Saturday, July 16. Food will be available at 5:30 with pre-show entertainment at 6:00 and the program will get underway at 7:30.
