All About Cape: Welcoming a New Year

Benjamin Franklin said, “Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.”

Can you believe the new year is around the corner? If there was ever a year for reflection and looking ahead, this is the year to say you have "2020 vision." Whether you are making resolutions, reminiscing on your 2019 achievements or just celebrating another revolution around the sun, I want to wish you and yours a happy New Year.

That said, there are a lot of family friendly activities to keep you busy and warm.  Ring in the new year with a visit to the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center and explore the area’s rich cultural history and diverse ecosystems.  Discovery Playhouse is also open, and it’s a great way to get out of the house and explore interactive science displays and other educational activities.

If you’re more interested in staying active without feeling the chill, you can bounce your way to new heights at the indoor Ultimate Air Trampoline Park or travel two stories on the Zip line at Safari Playland.  Keep your athletic skills on point at the SportsPlex using any of the courts, turf or batting cages for practice.
