Cut with the Dada Kitchen Knife through the Last Weimar Beer-Belly Cultural Epoch in Germany

Is Florida the United State's most reviled state? Animal Collective seems to have picked up on that shade and responded with a track called "FloriDada," from their tenth album Painting With. Animal Collective have also released an app for iOS that allows users to connect two devices and paint together as they listen to music from the new album.

This week's show also features the sublime sheogaze of Ringo Deathstarr (how did we miss that for the Star Wars show?), new music from Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, and psych-rock band Quilt.

We'll also be playing the latest and quite ambitious project from John Cale. It's called M:Fans and it's a re-imagining of his 1982 album Music For A New Society

Left of the Dial airs Friday nights 9-11 and Saturdays from noon-2 on KRCU.
