On Wednesday, Gov. Mike Parson announced six appointments to councils and county offices across the state.

Among those six was Martha Daugherty of Cape Girardeau. She was appointed to the Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.

According to a press release from Gov. Parson’s office, Daugherty recently retired from her position as the Manager of Community Affairs for SSM Health in St. Louis.

Prior to working at SSM Health, she served as the Director of Marketing for Historic Daniel Boone Home and Village at Lindenwood University.

Daugherty also worked on the staff of former U.S. Senator Jim Talent, and on the staff of former U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson.
