  • Derek Kravitz is the investigations and data editor of MuckRock, a nonprofit, collaborative news site that focuses on public records and accountability journalism. He is also working on grant-funded initiatives through Columbia and Stanford's Brown Institute for Media Innovation, including the Documenting COVID-19 project. Previously, he was the research director at ProPublica and a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, and The Washington Post. Kravitz has been a part of three teams that have been finalists for the Pulitzer Prize

  • Talia Schlanger hosts World Cafe, which is distributed by NPR and produced by WXPN, the public radio service of the University of Pennsylvania. She got her start in broadcasting at the CBC, Canada's national public broadcaster. She hosted CBC Radio 2 Weekend Mornings on radio and was the on-camera host for two seasons of the television series CBC Music: Backstage, as well as several prime-time music TV specials for CBC, including the Quietest Concert Ever: On Fundy's Ocean Floor. Schlanger also guest hosted various flagship shows on CBC Radio One, including As It Happens, Day 6 and Because News. Schlanger also won a Canadian Screen Award as a producer for CBC Music Presents: The Beetle Roadtrip Sessions, a cross-country rock 'n' roll road trip.
  • Leslie Jones, professor of music at Southeast Missouri State University, received her B.M. and M.M. from Southeastern Louisiana University and her D.M.A. from the Conservatory of Music at University of Missouri-Kansas City.

    A contralto, Dr. Jones remains an active performer in recital, opera and concert work, and she is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). At Southeast, Dr. Jones co-directs the Opera Workshop and teaches studio voice, diction and music appreciation. She has also taught and sung at the Berkshire Choral Festival, Truman State University and Kansas City Kansas Community College.
  • Will Walkey is a Producer for the Public News Service based in Somerville, Massachusetts. Prior to joining PNS, he was a reporter for NPR member stations in the Mountain West, covering the environment, housing, healthcare and anything else newsworthy. His work has won multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards and other honors, and his stories have aired on numerous national radio programs, including Marketplace, Morning Edition and Here and Now. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Colby College.

When she’s not working, you can find her skiing, camping, or deeply invested in a 1000 piece puzzle.
