
Paul Thompson
Classical Music HostPaul Thompson serves as guest host for both Caffe Concerto and Afternoon Classics. A native of Manchester, England, he grew up listening to BBC Radio Three and the London Broadcasting Company. He studied flute at the London College of Music, Paris Conservatoire, and the University of Wisconsin. He has held teaching positions at Murray State, Cornell University and Colgate University, and since 1991 has been flute instructor at Southeast Missouri State University.
At Southeast he has taught everything from Medieval & Renaissance Music to the Life and Times of Winston Churchill, and has conducted the Southeast Symphony. His interests include soccer, history and the books of Alan Garner.
