Social distancing is difficult. Thanks to modern technology and the internet, community is still accessible! If you - or your organization - are hosting a live video over social media, a watch party, or virtual gathering of another kind, email us at comments@krcu.org.Submissions should still follow our general event guidelines, including being open to the public. We'll give emphasis to events such as performances, lectures, exhibits, public meetings, and educational, recreational, and health-oriented opportunities.

Friday, Apr. 17 // FB Live “Should You Be Counting Calories/Macros?” With Tori Mincemeyer, RD, LD

Tori Mincemeyer, RD, LD

Local registered dietician Tori Micemeyer will host a Facebook “Live At Lunch” video regarding counting calories on Apr. 17.

The first step a lot of people take when they're trying to "get healthy" is to start counting calories or "macros.”

In this Facebook live, Mincemeyer will address a few questions, including:

Is this really a good place to start?

Do calories really matter?

Is tracking your intake appropriate for everyone?

What are macros, and why do they matter?

Participants are asked to bring their questions and comments to have them answered during the discussion.

“Live At Lunch: Should You Be Counting Calories/Macros?” will take place Friday, Apr. 17 starting at 12:10 p.m. and last until all questions are answered, or up to an hour.
