Square One Wellness, LLC will host a quarantine edition of their baby-led weaning class on Apr. 18.
During this complicated time, babies are still growing/developing, and stressing about the search for baby food may be one less thing for you to worry about. This introduction course hosted by registered dietician, Ellen Gipson, will share the basics behind the baby-led weaning (BLW) philosophy and help you decide if it’s right for your family. The purpose of BLW is to assess when infants are developmentally ready - usually around 6 months - and then encourage self-feeding of whole, nutritious foods rather than traditional or pureed baby foods.
The course is open to expecting parents, new parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts/uncles, caregivers, child-care providers, or medical professionals.
“Introduction To Baby-Led Weaning” will take place live online Saturday, Apr. 18 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Those interested must register to attend.
