Jackson Resident Wins $77,777 On Missouri Lottery Scratcher Ticket

Missouri Lottery

After returning from a family vacation, Jackson resident Kevin Pruitt won $77,777 on a Missouri Lottery Scratcher ticket.

“We got home from Cancun on Thursday, and I bought the ticket on Friday,” said Pruitt. “My wife works next door to a mini-mart, and I stop in a few times a week to buy a ticket while I’m visiting her.”

The ‘Fireball 7s’ ticket awards players with a prize for uncovering ‘7’ symbols.

“The first ‘7’ had a prize of $5,000. I scratched the rest of the numbers and didn’t even bother with the prizes at first. They were all ‘7s,’” he said.

The ticket was sold at Jackson Mart, located in Jackson.

Pruitt’s family plans to put the prize toward paying down debt.

The Missouri Lottery says that players have won more than $12.5 million on the ‘Fireball 7s’ ticket since its launch in July of last year. They estimate the Scratcher to have more than $4.5 million in remaining prizes. Pruitt’s win was one of two additional top prizes.
