After leaving the Senate earlier this month, former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill will continue appearing on the political scene through NBC News and MSNBC as a political analyst.

The networks announced today that the former two-term senator from Missouri will offer her insight and analysis on breaking news across both NBC News and MSNBC.

According to a press release, the announcement was made this morning during an interview with McCaskill on MSNBC show, Morning Joe.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience from the Senate, hard fought campaigns, and Midwest common sense to the coverage of breaking political events,” McCaskill said during the interview. “And, as always, I won’t hold back.”

She’s slated to join MSNBC for their coverage of Pres. Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

McCaskill was the first and only female to be elected to the Senate from Missouri, and is a former prosecutor and State Auditor. McCaskill left the Senate as the top-ranking Democrat on the Homeland Security Committee, and a senior member of the Armed Services Committee.
