In honor of Veterans Day, we’re sharing the stories of local service members from all of the major wars and conflicts. When we think about the Gulf War, most think of Desert Storm during the 1990s. But conflicts in the gulf were happening long before then dating back to the 1980s. As we continue our veterans day series "We Came Home," we'll hear fromCapt. Diane C. Howard USNR-Retired who served just shy of 25 years in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps. Howard began her active duty service in 1980, and shortly after in 1984 began her reservist duty. This is her story.
