The Cape Girardeau County Health Department will offer a free drive-through Tdap booster clinic at Fire Station 2 in Cape Girardeau. You do not need to be a Cape Girardeau County resident to receive the vaccine.
The Tdap vaccine helps protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. Pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, is often misdiagnosed in adults and can be easily passed to children. The Health Department suggests getting this booster shot if you might be in contact with any infant in the next 10 years.
Fire Station 2 is near West Park Mall, at 378 South Mount Auburn Road.
The free booster clinic opens Friday morning at 10:00 am.
