Old Town Cape Christmas Tree Lighting

Old Town Cape will kick off the holiday season with its sixth annual Christmas Tree Lighting on November 29.

This family-friendly event will include local food trucks, live music and caroling, and marshmallow roasting. The evening will conclude with Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the 30-foot Christmas tree.

The food trucks and the s’more stations will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m. The ensemble and carolers will play and sing at 5:45 p.m. welcoming Santa and Mrs. Claus who will arrive at 6:10 p.m. At 6:20 p.m. Santa will light the tree. The crowd is encouraged to sing, mingle, take pictures, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and our performing elves and enjoy our festive and beautiful downtown the night of the event and throughout the holiday season.

Fountain Street, between Broadway and Themis, will be closed to vehicle traffic but open to foot traffic beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024.

The annual Tree Lighting will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 29, at Fountain and Broadway Streets in Downtown Cape.
